The town's centrepiece draws on thermal mineral water at 44–46°C — the springs that attracted rulers here in 1281. The 47 m "Kamikaze", the 97 m "Movie Slide" with underwater projections, a wild river, wave pool and children's zone; the spa side adds treatment pools, massage jets and full wellness therapies. The enchanting Kúpeľný Park is a landscaped haven of rare trees, fragrant gardens and tranquil Swan Lake. A forestry educational trail continues into hillside woodland rich in game, wild mushrooms and summer berries.

The Veľká Fatra National Park begins on the town's doorstep — forested ridges, alpine meadows and limestone peaks above 1,500 m. Marked trails for every level, cycling paths into the wider Slovak network, and seasonal horse riding in the park.
Winter
Ski Resort Krahule near Kremnica offers groomed pistes from 930 to 1,060 m with five lifts. In town, an outdoor ice rink runs through winter — while the thermal pools stay gloriously warm whatever the weather. Snowshoeing in the Veľká Fatra is outstanding.

Twenty minutes south, Kremnica is home to the world's oldest continuously operating mint — striking coins for over 700 years. Explore the castle complex, the Museum of Coins and Medals, and climb 227 tower steps for panoramic mountain views.

One of Central Europe's most romantic castles, its neo-Gothic towers rising beside a 700-year-old linden said to be planted by King Matthias. Tours pass through ornate chambers, a stalactite cave beneath the castle and a 26 m well.

The mineral water — 1,520 mg/l, emerging at 38–46°C — has been prized for its effects on the musculoskeletal and urological systems for seven centuries. Stroll the promenade past the historic Ľudový (Folk) and Červený (Red) pools, built directly on the springs.
Culture
Turčianske Teplice is the birthplace of the modernist painter Mikuláš Galanda — the name behind our Galanda 24 apartment. Nearby Martin holds the Slovak National Museum and National Cemetery; the Harmanecká Cave and year-round folk festivals complete the picture.
