Who we are
Novera Apartments operates holiday apartments in Turčianske Teplice, Slovakia, and the website novera.apartments. For any privacy question, contact us using the details on our Contact page. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect and why
When you book a stay we collect the details you enter at checkout — name, email address, phone number, country and, where provided, your address — together with your booking dates, party size and price. We use these to manage your reservation, to send booking confirmations and stay-related messages by email or SMS, and to meet accommodation registration duties under Slovak law. If you write to us through the contact form we keep your message and contact details to reply to you. If you leave a review, we store the review together with your booking so we can display it, and we may show your first name and country alongside it.
Who processes data on our behalf
Card payments are processed by Stripe — your card number never reaches our servers. Transactional email is delivered through Postmark, and SMS messages through Twilio. Reservations made on booking channels such as Booking.com or Expedia reach us through those channels under their own privacy terms. Each of these providers processes only the data needed to perform its service.
How long we keep data
Booking records are kept for as long as accounting and accommodation-register rules require. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry. You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to the legal retention duties above.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise any of these, contact us via the Contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR).
